Book a charter flight

Check-in: Like all airlines, Ulendo Airlink need to observe certain security and check-in procedures. Our flights open for check-in 60 minutes prior to departure and close 20 minutes before our scheduled departure time. Lilongwe Handlign Company are our approved ground handling agents and passengers will use the normal check-in desks at both Chileka and Kamuzu International Airports for our flights. Mfuwe departures are handled by our preferred partners, Proflight while passengers departing from Club Makokola or Likoma Island will be met and boarded by the First Officer or Captain of the aircraft. Please ensure you have your e-Ticket with you at check-in – passengers without tickets will not be boarded.

Our aircraft are designed for short haul commuter flights and are unable to carry a huge amount of luggage. We have restricted allowances on our services to 15kg  (33 lbs) per Adult or Child. Infants are allowed 5kg of luggage.

Passengers making same day connections to international flights will be allowed 23kg of luggage, subject to space being available on the flight. Passengers using this additional facility will be required to show a valid international ticket at check-in.

As with all luggage allowances on Ulendo Airlink, any excess luggage will only be accepted subject to space on the aircraft and will attract a charge for over weight items.

Luggage size is restricted to a maximum dimension of 25cm x 30cm x 62cm.

Excess Luggage: Passengers with excess luggage will only be allowed to check-in additional pieces once the check-in counters have closed for passengers. If space is still available to carry excess luggage, the captain will authorize check-in staff to accept pieces on payment of USD5 per kilogram in excess luggage charges. Please note that passengers may request additional luggage allowance at time of reservation and if available will be charged at USD2.50 per kilogram provided they pay excess charges at the time of ticketing.

Important note on items carried: Ulendo Airlink will not accept any responsibility for certain items carried in checked or un-checked baggage. These items include (but are not limited to) camera equipment, computers and electrical items, jewelry etc. In the event of any itmes of this nature being damaged, lost or delayed passengers will not be entitled to any compensation from the airline. Such items should be kept on your person subject to cabin baggage restrictions which may apply.

Passengers should be aware that space inside the aircraft is limited and hand luggage must fit into the designated space at the rear of the aircraft or on a passengers person. Ladies handbags, camera bags and laptop computer bags are permitted however no piece of hand luggage may exceed 4 kg.

Notice of Baggage Liability Limitations: Liability for loss, delay, or damage to baggage is limited. The majority of international travel, including domestic portions of international journeys, limits liability to approximately US$9.07 per pound or US$20.00 per kg for checked baggage provided claims are submitted in writing within 7 days of the receipt of checked baggage in the case of damage.
