Ulendo Airlink is the trading name for NYASA EXPRESS, a joint venture operation between Malawi’s Ulendo Travel Group represented by Rob McConaghy and CFA Air Charters based at South Africa’s Grand Central Airport. Our operation is proud to enjoy a 51% Malawian shareholding and have partnered with CFA who bring their vast technical knowledge and operational experience to the business.

Malawi is currently in the process of updating Civil Aviation legislation to comply with ICAO international standards which has temporarily resulted in some confusion over permits allowing scheduled commercial aviation services to operate.In September 2011, the Department of Civil Aviation suspended scheduled flights being operated under the old Air Service Permits which, while being legally acceptable in Malawi, did not comply

with international standards. Ulendo Airlink are working with the authorities to transfer our Air Service Permit to an Airline Operators Certificate (AOC) and currently offer commercial charter services only - we anticipate re-launching scheduled flights in the near future.

We are proud to work closely with the Government of Malawi in developing aviation in the country and ensuring commercial operations comply to the most stringent ICAO operational requirements.

CFA operate an extremely successful air charter operation from their operational base just outside of Johannesburg and are committed to growing operations throughout the region. They provide extensive air transfer services through Mozambique as well as countries as far afield as Cameroon.
